SSAU was present with its own stand at CropTec Show 2018, a two-day show that took place at the East of England Showground, Peterborough on 28-29 November 2018. The CropTec Show offers the chance to explore a wide range of novel science and innovative technology in an informal atmosphere, creating the ideal forum for visitors, exhibitors and researchers to exchange ideas and experiences.
Dr. Clare Butler Ellis took part in the Workshop on protocols for measurement of emission of pesticides into the air in agriculture, hosted by the Institut national de recherche en sciences et technologies pour l'environnement et l'agriculture (IRSTEA), and that took place in Montpellier on 5-7 June 2018.
The workshop topic was to develop protocols for the measurements of the emission of pesticides into the air due to their agricultural use, and had a combination of formal presentations and plenary discussion sessions divided into two subtopics, emission during and emission after pesticide application.
This workshop is an essential part of a multi-partner project by INRA (Institut national de la recherche agronomique), IRSTEA and WUR (Wageningen University & Research) and funded by the French Agency of Environment. The results of the workshop will be posted on a project website (currently under construction).

The award recognises those authors whose work stands out for its originality and technical excellence, the demonstration of the authors’ authority in the subject material and its relevance to the current problems and needs of the industry among other criteria.
